So, everything seemed to be going along as usual. That's usually good and bad. But, then you start noticing a certain physical discomfort. Who doesn't have the odd ache or pain, even in strange places, so why worry.
Unfortunately, after a few days, the pain stars to localize and increase in intensity. Hmm. I don't like this.
I go to see the doctor. After being questioned and then examined by the nurse practitioner, she thinks it would be a good idea to run some tests. "Do you have private insurance?" Otherwise I could wait months. But, she decides that a second opinion would be in order. So a doctor comes in and his exam is even more intrusive. Then he makes a diagnoses. Virus. Should go away after 7 - 10 days.
OK. I feel better. I go home and my wife has been researching on the net. "You know, it says that without testing you can't determine if it is bacterial and not viral. Oh, it also says that if there was a misdiagnosis, tissue could start to die!"
